Vodafone Manual internet settings Guide

In Vodafone some time you may face problem in receiving internet settings,some times received settings may not work. Today same problem happened for me also. here i am sharing how to setup Vodafone internet settings manually for browsing internet in Mobile(GPRS), once that works, you can connect also connect your phone to laptop and start browsing by making your phone as modem.

In Your phone Select Menu---->Settings---->Connectivity---->Internet Settings--->Connect using:
Delete all the pre-configured settings.


Then select  Options--->Create New---->PS Data, enter

Name: VPN (Any name you wish can be given, its for your reference)
APN: WWW
Save it & Select the Newly configured network in the Data accounts.

Go to Options--->Edit and see, these options to be set by default.
APN : WWW
Username: Leave it blank, don't add any thing in this field.
Password:  Leave it blank, don't add any thing in this field.
Login request: off
IP address:None, dynamically assigned by Vodafone network.
DNS address:None, dynamically assigned by Vodafone network.
Authentication: None,PAP,CHAP (select these theree)
Data compression: Off
Header compression: Off
Proxy settings: Off

Airtel introduced 3G last year and the plans were very expensive at the beginning. But now Airtel reduced the 3G data plan price, Airtel 3G customers can get more data i.e double or more then the previous free data for the same price. With this Airtel is promoting 3G services & inspiring people to move from 2G world to 3G world.

How is Airtel 3G speed?
Its superb!!!!. unbeatable speed. I never felt 3G is so fast, first time i connected to 3G network using Airtel network. Speed is mind blowing,super fast,amazing.
I use my Sony Ericsson Cedar 3G mobile handset to browse internet, today i made my phone as modem & connect to Airtel 3G network. First time it took few seconds to open Google home page & i was surprised why 3G is very slow, afterwards i suddenly went to YouTube it got opened with in a second & played one video song. The streaming is super fast 1 min video got streamed in just 15 to 20 seconds.thats more then enough to love surfing internet, watching live movie etc... I suggest all my Blog visitors to try 3G once.

13Rs recharge plan will give you data access at 20kb/15paise valid for 20 days


FAQs:
To check the data usage please dial *123*11# from your mobile.
Post free usage 10paise/10kb will be charged
Video calls will be charged at 5 paise per second (1sec/5paise)
In roaming there wont be any additional charges for 3G data usage. Your plans remains same.
Normal browsing speed in Airtel 3G will be 300kbps.
These plans are applicable in Karnataka.

Idea 2G internet speed seems to be ok, but if you take a look at there plans, it looks quite different compare to other service providers.

Disadvantages if Idea GPRS 2G internet pack:
Idea splits up its free internet usage on daily limit basis.  If you exceed the limit in a day, then you need to pay 2p/Kb. for example 98Rs 6GB data you get, out of that if you cant consume more then 205MB per day.if you do so, you will be charged 2paise/KB..Similarly for other plans also. its one of the major disadvantages if Idea

Vodafone Live 2G internet review & plans: 

Internet speed of Vodafone is good, some times in day times network may go busy so there would be little slow in speed. But in night times download speed will be very good. You can even download songs of 30MB in 20 mins

network speed varies in between 15kbps to 30kbps.Video streaming will be some what slow, still if you can stream a video and watch.

Many times i have booked train tickets, recharged online etc..it works well. If you are browsing in Mobile, i prefer you to install Opera mini web browser.

plans are pretty cheaper compare to other network, good customer support

Network will be available constantly.

3)You need to remember the expiry date & time, if you browse above it, then 10p/10kb will be charged.
