Submitting Blog/Website to famous search engines lead to very good traffic. Here we shall see how to authenticate your site in yahoo webmaster tool, how to submit Blog/website sitemap(Feed) to yahoo directory.
Steps to submit your Blog/Website to yahoo directory:
1)Goto http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ and add click on add my site button
2)Now you will see a log in screen, log on using your Yahoo ID, if you don't have Yahoo ID then log in using Gmail/Facebook ID.
3)Then Yahoo seeks your Blog/Website authentication. Authenticate by placing a meta tag or by uploading verification file.
here i will show how to verify using meta tag,
place meta tag after <head> in your template & save it.
click on ready to authenticate button.
4)Once the site or blog is authenticated, a green right mark appears.
5)When you click on add site site, you will get a detailed summary about your blog or website, which shows tittle,authentication status,indexed pages & more..
Submitting Sitemap to yahoo directory.
1)Click on feed menu present just below your blog name.
2)Add your website feed as "feeds/posts/default?redirect=false" make sure your feed URL do not redirect to any other page, you can provide RSS or Atom XML, bloggers do not specify FeedBurner URL
3)Then click on Add feed, thats it!!.It will take some time for yahoo to crawl your pages & add to its directory.
4)After yahoo crawls your blog/site, you will see the status like this.
